    HI,

I have mounted a linux server which is sharing a directory via samba. I can navigate this directory and open files from the acer aspire's command line. If I navigate to this directory in File Manager (or in an Open dialogue in a application) it shows an empty directory. It is almost as if via command line I enter the remote file system but the X gui only does not recognise the share.

Does any one have any clues to this behaviour? Seems odd. I am using the original Limpus Linux Lite install.

    Cheers.

Any one got any idea on this?

the remote file system is mounted with cifs. I can cd in to the directory on the command line and list all files and directories within, but in the Linpus File Manager, or any "Open" application dialogue box, it is an empty directory as if only the mount point directory is seen.
