    Hey all

I got my AAO last week, and after using linpus for a little while decided it wasn't for me, so I installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04.1). Everything seems to be working alright with the exception of the wireless. I've been following the guide at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne, and tried both the wireless methods, but it still doesn't want to work. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing seems to be working... any help would be appreciated :)

Well, after a little more tinkering, I solved my problem. in case anyone else has the same problem, I'll post my solution.

the guide I posted in my previous post suggested:

Don't do it. as I should have guessed initially by the whole "DISABLED_MODULES" thing, it was disabling my wireless. by reverting the file back to it's original state, and restarting, I can now connect to my wireless network :)
