wireless adapter problems

    Hello im trying to get my broadcom 802.11g wireless adapter detected in Xp but so far no succes. Xp doesnt give me a message of new hardware that gets detected and theres noting in my hardware device. Only 1394 net adapter. I tried also many drivers xp/vista. Please help Tia!

    I forgot to mention that im talking about a ACER 5520G.

    Well apart from being the wrong forum for your laptop (!!!!) , is there a switch at the front of your laptop which turns off wifi ? Maybe on the side or near the keyboard ?
    Or is there a BIOS setting to switch off wifi ?
