anyone have any idea how to put these files on a bootable sd card. rather then buying an external rom drive. or how to copy the hidden partition onto sd card. i have vista installed and access to the partition. i've had no luck using a 80 gig usb drive. i have my pc rom enable for loading programs. so buying a usb rom drive would kind of be useless for me just to have handy to load the aa1 software should the hard drive go down for some reason. i want the software on a sd card. rather it be the actual recovery software or the software i already have loaded and want to copy.

Wow, glad I bumped into this thread.

I been looking for a way to restore the HDD if i mess up the recovery partition on my A0A-150 XP version machine.
Has anyone tried this and got it to work?

Does it need to be recovered from a SD card?

Thanks for this, i have sucessfully recreated the image with Driveimage XML and was able to use UBCD4WIN (http://www.ubcd4win.com/) and PE2USB (http://gocoding.com/page.php?al=petousb) to create a bootable USB stick to restore the new Driveimage XML image from an external hard disk. If anyone wants any more info on how this works then just ask and i'll try and put together some instructions.

To 'aghiutza' - RE: Error 17

That Sounds Like A Grup Bootloader Error, You'll Need To Remove Grub From The HDD (With Some Tihng Like FDisk / MBR) Before XP Will Boot.

Did Your AA1 Come With Linpus Rather Then WinXP, If So Create A Bootable USB Drive Grab A Copy Of FDisk (See -http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/qna/1742.html) And Run With /MBR Option, Re-Boot And You'll Have A Bootable WinXP Install.

    Any Probs, Let Me Know.
