I have used PC and Windows forever. Now wanting to switch to a Google Chrome OS set up. I have several programs which I will need on my Chromebook. An HTML Editor, my FTP client, Photoshop,... All of these are Windows programs. Would they be compatible with Chrome OS?

I can answer my own question, as I have done a little research on this today. The Chromebox is strictly an online machine. Online apps are used in place programs that would otherwise be on your hard drive. There are lots of apps available. I found a very nice photo editor and an ftp client. Still looking for a suitable html editor. But these apps sync across devices, so I would definately like to find everything I need in the app store. The ones I have looked at so far, are free.
