wifi problems

    i have an acer aspire one happy netbook and recently i have tried to connect to my wifi at home but the wifi icon at the bottom right hand of the screen has a computer screen with a cross on it and it says NOT CONNECTED - NO CONNECTIONS ARE AVAILABLE i was wondering why this is? and how can i fix it? because it was working a few weeks ago

    Sometimes the software that comes with the drivers for a WiFi card, disable the windows built-in WiFi software in favor of their own application. Try looking in your start menu for anything that resembles WiFi connectivity software.

    Otherwise if you want to check / re-enable the built-in WiFi connection, are you running Windows 7 or Windows XP?

    Check and see if you turned off your wifi. The keys to toggle it on and off should be Fn + F3.
