    I have a "old" Aspire One AOA150.
It's working fine when the charger is plugged in but as soon as I am running on battery the wifi is working very poorly. It takes much longer time to load a page but most of the time it just lose the connectivity completely.
I've tried changing the settings but nothing really helps. Recently I updated the BIOS (to 3310) as I couldn't charge the battery.

Hope somebody can help me with this problem as it is more or less impossible to use the netbook for internetsurfing without the charger plugged in.

    What settings??

Have you tried to change Power Saving Options for Wi-Fi card?? Untick "allow system to switch this device off to conserve battery power" or something similar...

System Properties >> Device Manager >> right click on Wi-Fi card >> Advanced tab >> and you have two or three possible ticks depending on driver...
