    Good morning, evening....

I have a simple question but the answer is hard to find.
My acer one Pro has a Atheros 5007EG b/g card.

In the wireless console of XP it says 54 MBPS speed but when i download it says only maximum of 10 Mbps?????

I have an ISP connection of 60 Mbps and my other laptop has that speed.

Why does my Acer One can not download with higher speeds? the card must be compatible?

My experience is that in spite of a 54 Mbps capability, you won't get far beyond 15 Mbps download speed for an internet connection. Try speakeasy.net/test and select your nearest test location city. You might be able to get higher speed on an INTRANET with matched hardware, however.
