WiFi connectivty using Netgear Router

    Purchased an Acer Aspire One for my daughter for Christmas. Cannot get it to connect to the Router. States "Validating Identity" and goes no further. HP Pavilion is working fine on the router so It has to be the Acer's configuration or Network card. Anyone else have this problem and how did you resolve it? Netgear unable to help.

    Are you using win XP? win7, linux? Windows zero configuration for wireless usually works good with minimal effort. Is your router set up for secure connection wpa, wep ?
