    Hi everyone,

I have been using my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon without any problems, but after a recent Windows 11 update, Iam facing a frustrating issue. The laptop boots up, and I hear system sounds, but the screen turns completely white and stays that way.

Here is what I have tried so far,
Booted into Safe Mode, but the white screen still appears.Tried rolling back the update, but it didn’t help.Updated and reinstalled my GPU drivers using a recovery USB

Iam not sure if this is a hardware or software issue. Has anyone else experienced something similar on the X1 Carbon or other Lenovo laptops? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since you've already tried the safe mode, rolling back updates, and messing with drivers, it’s hard to say for sure, but it could be either a weird software glitch or something more hardware-related. A couple of things you could try are checking if the laptop is outputting to an external screen by pressing Windows + P and switching the display settings. Also, if you can, plug it into an external monitor if that works, it might mean something's up with the built-in display. You could also try resetting the BIOS, as sometimes updates mess with the default settings. If none of that works and you’re still stuck with the white screen, it might be worth reaching out to Lenovo, especially if it’s under warranty
