    2. Intel Quad-Core i5-8265U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
    3. Intel Pentium Gold, 8GB RAM, 128GB
    4. AMD A9-9425 up to 3.7 GHz, 8GB DDR4 Memory, 256GB SSD, AMD Radeon R5 Graphic
    5. AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Quad-Core, Up to 3.70 GHz, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD
    6. AMD Quad-Core A12-9720P | 8GB RAM | 512GB SSD

Since i go to a computer science university myself i think it would make it easier to define what your budget is
first 2 years i did in university i used a dell d500 from 2003 and frankly that was fine until its power supply killed it.
My new laptop is a refurb Thinkpad T440s. The T440s is also a great laptop. However not what i would absolutely recommend.
Maybe see if you can get a newer refurb thinkpad. Or maybe try one of the surface tablets

    Hi,
For people who are looking for the best cheap laptop for programming, the Lenovo ThinkPad E590, is one of the best choices available.
Computer programming isn’t all about algorithms, flowcharts, and code, one must understand the hardware also. It is the ability to write codes and solve problems along with an excellent laptop that is really crucial.

A good way to stay ahead in the coding world is to make sure that you have the best laptop for programming which will help you to transform your ideas into a reality without delays. In short, a perfect laptop speeds up tasks and processes, which helps to increase productivity.
