My profile only lists Alienware M11x r2 because it's what I'm on right now to type this thread. However, it is not the only portable computer I have stored in a box somewhere in storage. Maybe I'm too much of a hoarder.

In rough order of screen size for no reason:

    Acer Aspire One netbook
    Sony vaio notebook
    Alienware M11x r2 notebook
    Toshiba Satellite
Sony vaio laptop ( both Sony devices have battery problems. just weird )
    Dell Vostro 1500

    What's your laptop/notebook list?

Dell Inspiron 8600 (Still going strong)
Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 - A complete piece of junk, Probably the worst toshiba ever, never had such a bad experience with other Toshiba products. Everything died on me from the graphics card to the hard drive.
HP Touchsmart TX2 - A nice laptop but I had windows vista, it became so hot at times that the thing eventually melted and it is now bricked, my first touchscreen
MacBook Pro - I finally went Mac after all those horrible experiences.
Acer Chromebook - My travel companion.

Over the years I've had Dell, HP, Vaio and a few others. Right now I've scaled right back to
    Packard c3300 (for old games)
MSI Wind for work (runs Linux)

I really need another one. I can't upgrade any further with the Packard, and the only new motherboard I could fit in that would match the case space costs more than a new laptop! The battery is beginning to go on the Wind, so I might be posting here for some advice once I'm ready to upgrade.

I had two HP Pavillion laptops, both got overheated. The first one lasted me 7 years, and the second one only lasted me two years. I am now on MacBook Air since June last year, and I am happy with it. I just need to be more proficient in using it and get the max out of what it has to offer.

I had to get a new laptop because my old one started to malfunction. It was so annoying! I guess one of the fans broke, because the laptop started to turn itself off when it started to get warm. I didn't fix it because 2 out of 3 f the USB ports were broken, I was told by a specialist it could cost me a lot, almost the price of a new laptop. So it was a no brainer decision ;) I bought a new one!

I have been using my Compaq 510 laptop since six years and so far there has been no major problems. I have replaced my battery three times and adapter twice, and troubleshooted the laptop only once.
