What is your career, job, hobby.

I'm a high school student(third year) studying IT, I live in Estonia
Currently working as a IT Specialist at Rohwedder, hobbies include: biking, trekking, sailing, modifing everything that i have, designing 3D models, robotics and flying RC helicopters.

I LOOOOVE my AAO, and have modified it beyond recognition and am currently making a extreme and rare mod to it(I'll let you know, what it is, when I'm done...It is EXTREME)

hey..
new girl here :D
I just came off a 10 year stint in Tech support - through the many flavors that once were UUNet. Right now I do some general support for my brother's environmental driveway company while i primarily make jewelry. I specialize in steampunk jewelry and cyberpunk designs - kind of hardware reborn and remade. Can you tell I'm a Science Fiction addict ? :D

the hobby was the steampunk jewelry - but now that is what I do full time. I also turn old EPROMs into jewelry - those and vacuum tubes - and of course old machines and watches and pocketwatches etc. I like to take apart old things. It has moved from being a hobby into being a semi-full time job.

Nice to meet you all!

I am an accidental freelance marketing/public relations assistant and my hobbies are reading, writing, and exercising....Well, I used to like to exercise...

I'm an accountant, but haven't worked doing that for years. Right now I'm just a freelance writer (kind of) I complete all sorts of writing micro jobs in order to make ends meet at the end of every month. I used to have a job as a freelance writer, but got fired last May. I get kinda sad when I think about that, because back then I earned well and didn't have to force my eyes as much as I do now :(

Hi! Thanks for posting! I wanted to share a couple of thoughts to see if they might help!
1. If you have an active accounting degree and still have interest in it, there may be some online or work-at-home options for you as an accountant or doing accounting-like duties
2. As far as writing, have you thought writing your own articles and selling them through an online site for upfront or residual pay? If you have an expertise in accounting, you probably could open up another income stream.

Currently I am working as a freelance web designer and programmer. I love it as I get paid well and my work is well appreciated.

i am a student of commerce at the university but i work on my business part time. i have many hobbies. i love surfing the internet, repairing computers and singing.

I am Currently a merchandiser, but on my way to nursing school.

Web developer here. I'm looking to get into server administration, so I tend to gravitate towards maintenance type or server tasks rather than working on webpages. I play minecraft, so naturally I have a minecraft server at home. I think I'm a control freak, the way I manage my network though. Redundant security, hurrah!

I have worked in different industries, from teaching, to administrating, to manicure at different time in my life. My hobbies are knitting and crochet, gardening and photography, and for many years now an online freelance writer.

My hobbies pretty much make up my career/job. I am a musician and I therefore teach, write, produce music, etc. I am also a writer so I do a lot of typing and online publishing. I also do some freelance work, both musically and in writing and I have good knowledge of technology therefore I do it online mostly! I basically compiled my skills - computers, keyboard skills, music, English language and mind, science and conspiracy.

I am basically a News junkie

Varied interests

20th century industrial history, general sciences, including medical advancements from micro biology upwards, engineering, space technology, and anything to do with mechanical engineering, and technology in general.

Past interests motorcycles, and computing.

I'm a former Disney character performer, but these days I work as a remote administrator. Best job -- working from home!

As far as hobbies... I enjoy writing, performing/singing, photography, crafting, etc.

My real dream was becoming a doctor, but I decided to become an accountant because it sounded easier. In the next years if things go well with me neurological issue I might go back to med school (did 6 months, but left for accountancy). I can only dream guys! My hobbies are now mostly watching TV and games :) But sadly there is rarely any time for that.

If you are a academically predisposed then go for the highest achievement
you can do, you will always regret it.

Well done going for some medical training though.

Impressed !!!!

I'm a stay at home mom, used to be a Veterinary Technician. I enjoy teaching and playing with my kids, reading my Bible, and spending time outside playing sports with my family.

@something back Thank you :) I would like to go back and make my dream come true, but in the end my own health will tell. I know I might not be able to do what I did before, like running like I did, for example, but going back to school? I might be able to do that :) But only time will tell ;) I would like to specialize on internal medicine.

I'm a student in the last year at college, but I work as a freelancer (softwares coder)

:oops:I'm a self-employed writer with fiction e-books in print too. I do writing gigs, articles & have found this forum. I'm so glad that there are techies here so I can get help with the netbooks I borrow from the library. Glad I joined this forum!
