I decided to take a chance with $15 -- on a case designed for the Asus 900, sold by a company I've never dealt with or heard of before. You can see the case (photo and video) here: http://www.allfreeship.com/shopexd.asp?id=2235&bc=no. I wanted a sleeve like cover rather than a full case with a handle, etc. .... this is often going to go in my regular work bag. I'll post again when it arrives :?: and let everyone know how it turns out.

I recieved my Timbuk2 T-Pack in the mail today. It's pretty much the smallest you can go while being usable. The laptop fits snugly in it (almost too snugly), although it looks like there might be enough room on the sides for using one with a 6 cell battery. The pocket barely holds the charger + cord. All and all, I'd have to say if you don't carry any accessories, such as a mouse, with you and don't mind it not being that padded from falls.. Then the T-pack might be worth getting.

Neoprene sleeve off ebay: £3.60 + £3 postage from Hong Kong from these guys:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/lee262onlineuk

Cheap and fits.

Shame the design of the AA1 has the right side SD card sticking out though as you need to be careful when sliding the unit in/out the sleeve.

A local (Amsterdam, Netherlands) computerstore called paradigit. It was 17 euros.
It does get a bit.. "bulgey" if I put everything (external harddrive, powercord and so on) in - but it fits.

This case looks nice. It seems well padded, except on the corners. What do you think? Also, is there room for the power block and a few accessories? I've bookmarked your link as I contemplate buying this. :)

I found out that the Targus DVD player bags work just like a mini lap bag.

Would you mind measuring the interior dimensions of the T-Pack? I wanted to get one except I'm not sure a 6-cell AA1 would fit inside. Thanks.

I have that one and it works pretty well. I can hold an external hard drive (2.5), mouse, power cable, antenna, and wifi adapter without a problem.

Same here, Targus DVD player bag is nice looking and has plenty of room for anything I could want to take with my AA1 while still being a nice compact case.

I am constructing a cardboard case made out of a recycled snowboarding helmet box. I will post pics when it is completed :)

I saw a Targus netbook case in Best Buy last week for $30 that seemed decent enough. It comes with a USB mouse. Anyone using it? My preferred case is still my old Samsonite attache case with padded with a couple of pieces of carpet padding. Works well enough as both a hard, protective case and a lapdesk

This is what I bought for $19.99 USD in olive/black. It has multiple pockets which I keep the ac adapter and microsoft wireless notebook mouse. It's a case for 10" portable dvd player.

http://www.target.com/Denali-Sport-Delu ... dvd&page=1

They have multiple colors available.

Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington bag that probably came from somewhere like Hot Topic (that store at the mall where all the counter-culture kids buy their rebel gear.)

My ex used it to carry her dance shoes in before I won it in the separation.

The One stays in the vinyl case that came in the box when I bought it (something that it seems many early purchasers didn't get) while it's in the bag. The front pockets hold the power cord & the trackball mouse that I'm currently using. (Soon to be replaced by a smaller travel cord set & a bluetooth mouse.) There's plenty of room in the main pocket for various other cords & little do-dads that I might need throughout the day.

I bought a Bible cover for $25 CDN at a Christian bookstore for the AA1. It's a backpack-style bag and holds a cr@pload of stuff.
IMG_3222 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]IMG_3223 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]

Right now, it's holding:
(outer pocket) foldable headphones, mini-speakers & wire, 80gb ipod classic & extended battery w/ silicone case
IMG_3216 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]
(outside of middle pocket) 2.5in external hd, starbucks coupon, 1 pen, cell phone
IMG_3217 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]
(middle pocket) ipod cable, hard drive cable, usb mouse, 3-cell battery, 4 USB flash drives on a keychain
IMG_3219 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]
(inner pocket) 1 pen, 1 eraser, Acer Aspire One with 6-cell battery attached, AC charger cable
IMG_3220 (Small) (WinCE).JPG[/attachment:3q65klys]

EDIT to add: The wholeseller is Christian Art Gifts and you can use their site to search for a retail location near you (in the States). Elsewhere I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to go to a local Christian bookstore and ask if they could order some, if you wanted.
