What kind of case are you using to transport your AA1? How do you like it?
Accompanying pix would be nice too! :)

Just the supplied slip case, then when traveling then the whole lot goes inside a Samsonite roller bag.

They say the slipcase won't fit the 6-cell so I'll might have to sew up a padded tote bag with a pocket for the power adaptor. Style is TBD.

(Pictures taken with mobile, not the best quality)

It's a great bag that fits all my gadgets and cables.
    Right now it carrys
    AA1
    PSP
    Camera
    iPod
    Headphones
    Mobile phone
    2x 2,5" USB HDD
    A few cables
    Wallet
    It's Waterproof and dustproof.
One the downside its quite big and not to mention expesive (79,90 €) so if i just need the AA1 i can take it in a seperate sleeve. If i just go somewhere in the car for example.

That sucks - there should be a plastic / fake leather black case that's packed together in the box

I suggest you that run to your trash can and look inside the box and see in the top cover for the sleeve. Maybe for the anxiety of unboxing you miss the cover.

I think the provided accessories depend on where you live.
So far I've not seen a single finn saying their One came with a sleeve.

We'll have to buy one, I'm getting myself one and it will be around 20 euros.

i just got a PDair leather case (book type). Quite happy with it although i'm not sure if the SD card compartments would ding my lid. Will try to avoid using it instead. I'm carrying it around in a nike medium sized messenger bag with laptop compartment. Will try to post pics soon.

Btw, i'm from the Philippines and i got my leather case from Silie. Try googling her in either tipidpc or pc-tipid.

    cheers

Asked the German Acer support on this topic.
The answer was that only the first series has been delivered with this case

    I bought something like this:

    http://www.officemax.com/omax/catal...in+covey&productId=ARS25889&category_Id=10003

Mine was cheaper than that at a local officemax, but it looks like the same thing.

Removed the rings, took an xacto knife and removed some of the stuff from the inside, also removed the handles. Two strips of velcro tape on the bottom of the one (and two corresponding strips, of course, onto the inside of the case). Don't have to remove the One from the case to use it. The pouch on the outside holds the A/C adapter and a mouse. There is room on the inside still for one of these: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/290280/APC-Universal-Power-Battery-notebook-battery/ as well.

The whole setup looks really nice and it looks like you're just carrying a planner around, and is still pretty small. I may look into adding some sort of strap, but just carrying it is fine.

I can confirm that: here in France I was one of the first to buy one and it came with the slip-case. On the other hand, a friend of mine purchased his unit a few days ago and there was no case included.

Bought my aa1 12GB blue today and it did not come with a sleeve.
Any ideas where to buy one in the UK?
Google search for laptop sleeves seems to bring up 12" plus, nothing smaller.

still housing my blue 6cell in the original acer slipcase.. but still looking for something that I don't have to take it in/out of..
the battery doesn't stick out of the case at all.. in fact it makes a nice handle to take it in/out of the case..
pics perhaps to be updated if anyone is interested :)

I bought a nice carrying bag from WalMart for under $20. It was designed to hold a 10" DVD player. The AA1 fits perfectly, with room for the power supply, external DVD/CD drive (it's a compact one) and its power supply, and my wireless mouse.

I discovered that my AAO fits perfectly in my old MEC Small Carry-All, with a pocket for the AC adapter, and room for papers, book, or whatever else I might be working on. I've got it wrapped in a thick silk scarf; easier to use and cushier than the pleather slipcase, not to mention stylish. ;)

I use a portable dvd player case from Circuit City.
Unfortunately it appears it is their own brand, so nowhere else will have it.
    http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Verge-Po ... tDetail.do
It fits inside of the main compartment really well and has plenty of storage areas for accessories (a mini mouse and power brick are all i carry so far, but more will fit). The second picture shows it from the other side, which allows you to see that it is really just a mini laptop bag. I got mine for $25.99 in the store.
Inside, there are slots to hold cds in paper slip cases and a strap to hold the device in place with. It also has a headphone splitter built into it (a feature that I do not want, but oh well). When I put the AAO in this case, I use the slip case that it came with as well to avoid scratches from the headphone jack and the D loops that are inside (they are used to mount the case to the back of a car seat, after all it is a portable dvd player case).
Also there are straps to keep the lid from opening too far; I think i am going to cut them off.

Hope this helps some people looking to transport their AAO.

    -Syco54645

ps. for a smaller one that the AAO barely fits in, try this http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Case-Log ... tDetail.do
I wanted protection as well, so I went for the slightly larger one.

edit: I guess I will attach a photo of it from the site
