What are the difference between these 2 acers?

    No differences. I personally think that Acer makes up so many different model numbers in the same family to avoid pricematching with different retailers sometimes.

    It appears to me that the one from Wal-Mart is running XP and Newegg's is running Linux. That is from the description as I read it.

    The AOA150-1570 comes with WinXP. Goofball's suggestion is probably close to the mark

    Both seem to have Windows XP.

    I figured it was the hard drive, 120 on the walmart and 160 on the newegg, but thats not it either.
