webcam greyed out with AIM messenger?

    hello
    when i use the standard messenger that came with my AAO and i sign onto my aim account i would like to use the webcam, but when i right click on the little webcam thing the options are all greyed out...im not sure what to do.

    i know people have posted stuff about this many times before but im stupid when it comes to computers so i need your step-by-step help.
