I am using AA1 110(8G SSD one). Mandriva 2009 Spring. the problem is that volume is too low. I can hardly heard something when it is 100%, on the other hand, when it is running in Live USB, the sound is really loud! how to solve that? Also, Skype seems not working so good with the sound, how to set it?

    Thank you! :)

I had this problem too after updating to Spring. Solved it by:
    1. Open terminal
    2. enter 'alsamixer -c 0' (without quotes)

This brings up many more tweaking options for the sound card. Boost the level on PCM up quite a bit (I think I moved mine into the nineties). Exit and close the terminal and hopefully your sound will be much better.
