VLC Plays Only Audio

    I installed VLC Media Player 0.8.6i through Acer Support website on my Linpus Linux Lite netbook, but when I try to play any *.avi file, there is no video! Only audio! Maybe I can update it or something to make it work...

    I'm having the excact same problem on my Aspire One Linux, i installed VLC via Macles, but i'm getting only sound. I've tried some AVI-files and ASF-files.

    Please help!

    Well I had the same problem and ended up restoring my AAO. Sure sounds like a pain but if you do it all over again, it should work out.
