Mkay.. 2 Questions

1.) What driver version are You using
2.) How much memory did You assign for the onboard graphics?

I only get 1.0 in 3D and 1.9 for Aero with the drivers from the Intel page

And another Question : Is speedstep working on your AA1?

 

I downloaded the latest driver and vlited it, will that work?
Some people claim that it works, some people don't. :lol:

 

I am pretty sure that you changed the Video RAM or something.

 

You need install latest driver for Intel 945G. Find it in the download section of www.intel.com

That will give you at least 2.8 for Aero.

I don't think you can adjust video memory for Aspire one in it's BIOS. Therefore I didn't do anything to it.

i just read from official vista website, the requirement to run aero is :
vista home premium or above
Video ram 64 or above

so we should change configuration to meet that requirement to run aero.

 

ok, we don't have to meet the minimum requirment, we can just screw microsoft's minimum requirments.
Save the extra RAM for your computing needs. :lol:

 

I simply can't get that score...still capped at 1.0 for graphic....need help

I happen to get 2.7 too, oh well, aero is running fine.

 

Indeed, screw microsoft's requirements minimum requirements.
I ran vista b2 and rc1 on a 900mhz 120mb 30gb pc from 2001
and now im running server 08 on that same computer with 632mb ram and 200gb hdd

Just about to test my index
i have the latest driver from intel's website and all the other drivers are good

My AA1 150 running Vista Ultimate, 1GB RAM, Hitachi 120GB HDD, 3-cell battery

CPU: 3.0
RAM: 4.5
AERO: 4.2
GFX: 2.8
HDD: 5.2

I am not sure about Aero's impact over the battery life... i'll check it in the next days. Running XP I get maximum 2h 20mins.

can anyone with 1.5GB aao tell me what score they got for memory performance?
Mine is 1GB BTW, and my hard drive is the Hitachi 5K320 model.
