Mine doesn't work! I wonder how you guys "4saken & hobbang819" make it work?

I'm using Kalyway, Voodoo Beta 2 Kernel, System Version 10.5.5

If your top bar is already semi-transparent goto LINE2

    LINE1
Install iAtkos and download the package explained in the iAtkos walkthrough
Install AppleIntelFrameBuffer.kext and Natit.kext using KextHelper
    reboot
do the previous 2 steps just for good measure
    install AppleSMBIOS.kext using KextHelper
    reboot
    install AppleIntelGMA950.kext using KextHelper
    reboot
Now if your top bar is semi-transparent you have successfully installed the graphics driver WITH quarts extreme

    LINE2
Now try plugging in an external monitor and see if you get a second display. If you can see your wallpaper on your second screen then skip down to LINE4. If you get fuzzy colorful lines on the screen that means it is set to Mirror and mirror for some reason doesn't work.

    LINE3
If you have fuzzy lines then you need to reset your display settings. To do this delete ~Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist (if you have one) and if you don't have one then delete ~Library/Preferences/By Host/com.apple.windowserver.plist (if you have one) and reboot your computer. This step took me about 5 deletions and reboots to finally get the right order.

    LINE4
If you have gotten your wallpaper on your second screen then go to "System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement" and drag the little white line onto your second screen.

Because I forgot what the folder was called. Just for you, I selected mirror to mess it up again to duplicate the problem, and the folder is "By Host". So you should either have:

    ~Library/Preferences/By Host/com.apple.windowserver.plist
    or
    ~Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist

Note: Make sure on the right side of Finder that you are under your Mac drive root and NOT your Username directory (see attachment for folder location preview)

P.S.: LINE1 will also fix Time Machine and Photo Booth. It will also make your dock, quicklook in finder, and dashboard a lot smoother.

If you are talking about the root-level folders you need omit the tilde (~) character. It means your home directory.

    Correct paths:

    /Library/Preferences/By Host/com.apple.windowserver.plist
    and
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist

Okay when you plug in your external monitor what happens? Do you atleast get some display or is it black? Are you getting lines on both displays? If you get lines on both displays then follow another method of fixing it.

Okay I duplicated the problem again. And found a fool-proof method.

    1) Make sure your external monitor is unplugged.
    2) Go to "System Preferences > Displays" and make sure the checkbox "Show displays in menu bar" is checked.
    3) Hover your mouse over the display icon on the top bar.
    4) Plug your external monitor in.
    5) Click the display icon (which you cannot see) and move your mouse down about 2 selections down then click. (You can use my screenshot to give you an idea on where the "Turn off Mirroring" selection is.)
