Recently bought the Acer One for my son to help with school work. Up until then I had zero knowledge of Linux. Slowly figuring it out.
I have tried everything I could find to set the keyboard up in French. Went through the Global settings and the the open Office writer program. No luck. I can get the spell checker to recognize the french words but can not get the accents on the on the keyboard to work.
    Is this a common problem?
    Help!

    Hi,

I had the same problem with my brand new Aspire One. The only way I've found to have the UI and the keyboard both in french was to reinstall the whole system.
I think there is a problem with the factory installation of the OS.
