Is there anyway to do this in Linux like you can in Windows Vista if you use a ReadyBoost enabled USB pendrive or memory card?

You cant use a pendrive or memory card as extra ram. You can add extra ram though.
Check the transfer speeds of a stick of RAM and an SD card.

Using a usb pendrive as a sort of readyboost device would be of no use in linux, the memory management in Linux is very different from Windows.
