I am using AOA 110 Linpus version netbook, sometimes I need to connect 3G network to browse internet via my Sony Ericsson W910i mobile phone. Mobile partner had been installed but it cannot detect my mobile phone. Please help.

In fact, if I turn to use the Ubuntu, it will be no problem as everything work out of the box. However, I prefer to use Linpus to do my work as well as internet browsing because of its short startup time and easy to use feature.

In order to use an Ericsson mobile phone with Windows XP/Wista you need a rather complex program from Ericsson - PC Suite.
This works by an USB port, but Ericsson had lots of problem making it work. If you plug the phone into the USB port, notthing happens without the PC suite. To run the phone under Linux I think you need something similar to the PC Suite.

Google on "Sony Ericsson Linux" and you will find a lot of info.
