usb hdd use with linux

    I have a usb hdd that is formated ntfs. How do I get this to work with the linpus Linux o.s. on this acer one?
    This is my first Linux experience.

    I assume you have advanced mode enabled... if not, do it...

    Then go to system, add/remove software, then search for ntfs, I have "ntfs-3g - 2:1.2712-1.fc8.i386 Linux NTFS userspace driver" installed, and it works great.

    Find the driver, select and install, you should be up and running in less than 2 minutes.

    A good idea, but we can't write or delete on the HD.
    How to complete the installation ?

    Run the filemanager as root instead of a normal user.

    In a terminal type:
    Code:
    sudo thunar
    .
