    Greetings People,

Ive just had a shiny new Acer Aspire One with Linux installed and shock horror it doesnt support 3G wireless. Apparently I have to upgrade to XP Home.

Problem is my USB Flash drive is only 500 MVB.

I do however have a portable hard drive.

Has anyone attempted this using a portable hard drive or can someone advise if the procedure is possible using the 500MB USB flash disk?

I am a technophobe so any detailed advice would be great.

    Thanks!

    John

    Marek.

Im trying step 2, to make my USB device bootable for XP, without much success

WHich command should I use instead of x:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 y: /mbr . Ive tried this and Im being told the system cant find the path specified.

Im using d:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 f: /mbr , where d: is my cd drive and f: is my partitioned HD.

    Thanks,

    John
