Hi, I've just had a 2nd very odd loss of wifi. Both times, it dropped connection, tried to pick back up, and then went dead, showing no wifi options. The first time, a few random changes of on/off of the kill switch and the disable box in network manager, and restarts brought it back to life, but I've not been able to get it back the 2nd time. Wired is working fine.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    (Edit, A110L, if it's relevent)

Ho-hum, yet again it started working again at random. Worrying, though.

It happens to me frequently. It appears to be triggered by high traffic volume. If you just wait it will come back; lots of practice suggests that turning it off/on, disabling wireless in the network manager etc does not speed up the process reconnecting.

The short answer is that the stock wifi drivers in Jaunty aren't very good. If you install the madwifi drivers it will probably work better.
