I've ordered this one with the intent to attach it on the motherboard's USB port and extend it in the compartment intended for 3G. What's appealing about this one is that it can be powered off via software.

    Hey guys...

Hate to break the bubble...Size matters...but also ..software...Most of them Micro USB Drivers.. Only operate usually syncs. and maybe older mono headsets.

All stereo and a2dp edr and (avrcp) for controlling software is needed.

. Ive went through a list of 20 diffrent brands. and none have software but Belkin. "that im aware of"

But if its only software and drivers needed then "BLUESOLEIL" Is the way to go.

longs if ya have bluetooth v 2.0 or better. with edr. your good to go

Seems mini bluetooth usb's are lacking the software to do what they are intented to do, " printing , stereo, sync's , file transfers..etc"

And also ...The ultra smalls are most likely class 2. which is 33 feet of reliablity, when class 1 is 100 feet.

I have had really good luck with the Rocketfish Micro Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Adapter (Model: RF-MRBTAD).
It works great on both XP SP3 and Windows 7 RC1. It is 2.1 EDR, and seems to have great range. Comes with Widcom software that supports lots of functions for 2 way bluetooth communication. Got mine for about $10 on ebay, and there seems to be lots of them out there for $12 to $15. Not compatable with Blue Soleil though. But, Widcom software is free from their site.

I got some on Ebay for £3.49 each - still on sale: Auction 360151235450

Working fine on AA1 (Fedora 11) - they report in as Cambridge Silicon Radio.
