Here's a very small USB BT 2.0 adapter that has a low profile, perfect for netbooks.

I use it to connect to the Net with via my Treo (Sprint EVDO) when WiFi is not available. Also works great with stereo BT headsets. Seems to draw less power than WiFi, helping battery life.

Any others out there smaller than this?

Sorry bout that. I did a search for 'mogo' and it didn't come up. If there is a smaller/lower power one, I'd like to know about it.

Edit: I just did a search for 'micro bt' and 'micro bluetooth' and no threads came up.

Those topics are not really about BT dongles it self but they are showing what is on the market - somehow... :)

Can you provide some photos of this BT "dongle" plugged into the AA1. I'm looking for something really small as my customer does not want to do any internal mods unfortunately. Using small BT will stick out from AA1 but it can be almost "invisible"...

Thanks for that but I'm more interested in picture of dongle already plugged into AA1. I'm interested how much this BT stays out of netbook...

I've got a similar one - sticks out about 5mm more than a SD card in the RH slot

Not sure what a BT stereo headset is - but maybe you can help me with my problem connecting to a Nokia stereo headset - see my separate posting??? Basically I can connect to any PC or mobile phone - I can even find the headset from the Bluetooth preferences/manager panel,
but I can't pair (or bind - same thing??) - all under Linux and not windows of course.

Only problem with those ultra-small bt is that the metal connector is bigger then the a normal usb. (0.75 inch instead of 0.5 inch). So because they stick out of the unit, it cause problem when putting the netbook in the orignial sleeve.

For mine, I just bought a neoprene sleeve and it's much better. As for as functionality it's perfect for me as I can easily connect my bt mouse and my pocketpc.

the one i posted doesn't have any metal stick out it is flush to the plastic is just like a 5mm tip of your finger sticking out. I'll try and take a picture later and post it as an attachment here.
