The pictures don't clearly show if it is bigger than the 5200mAh 6 cell.
If anybody got one of this please post pictures.

at 1/5th of the cost of the machine I wouldn't exactly call this cheap like they insist....

    good find nevertheless.
I would probably settle for a second 3cell rather then buy extended (size wise) battery...

The 6600mAh battery will give you well beyond 7 hours of continuous operation, which I don't need because my stock 3-cell already lasts 2 and half. I really don't think I'll be staring at the computer for almost 10 hours before I plug it in. On the other hand, the price isn't bad at all, considering the 5200mAh 6-cell available at SourceIT costs $95 plus shipping. I think I'll be settling with the $70 3-cell 4800mAh battery.

organisys have you got your battery yet? How is it working out for you? How much does it stick out from the back of the laptop?

    Thanks

Thanks for the info, I guess that's actually impressive considering you have WiFi and BT on. Now, I'm just wondering if Supertrader ships to US.

Just to clarify: BT is ON all the time but it is Belkin 10m Class 2 which is taking less power to operate then Class 1 BT modules... WiFi is not switched ON all the time, the same 3G - I'm not surfing whole day :) But definitely this battery is huge and I don't even have to carry charger... :)

I believe you can find this battery at Amazon. Ebay should have worldwide delivery as well...

Some pics of the 6600mAh battery for AA1 (from supertrader.uk)

The battery is a Cameron Sino, 9 Cell, 6600mAh, 73Wh, Part-No. CS-ACZG5DB. Look at http://www.cameronsino.net/ for the manufacturer.

The Kpowermanager says 7h30min with ~9300mW. And my scale says a battery with ~450g

    /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info says:
    present: yes
    design capacity: 6600 mAh
    last full capacity: 6512 mAh
    battery technology: rechargeable
    design voltage: 11100 mV
    design capacity warning: 300 mAh
    design capacity low: 260 mAh
    capacity granularity 1: 32 mAh
    capacity granularity 2: 32 mAh
    model number: UM08A73
    serial number: 0001
    battery type: LION
    OEM info: SIMPLO

    /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state says:
    present: yes
    capacity state: ok
    charging state: discharging
    present rate: 822 mA
    remaining capacity: 6302 mAh

    Thanks for the pics!

Getting that 9 cell from super trader will cost me less than buying the 6 cell locally (NZD 200) v about $150 from super trader inc shipping.

I was just wandering if it impedes the screen opening to its full extent? Also how firm does the One feel? Does it still sit okay if you use it on your lap or a sloping desk for example?

Thanks for the pics, NaNo. :)

    I'm a bit disapointed to see it's 9 cells, I thought it was 6 cells. :?
Too late anyway, mine is on its way.

No, it must be a 9 cell battery!
    Acer's 5200mAh battery has 6 cells, cells with 2600mAh (3S2P).
    Cameron Sino's 6600mAh battery has 9 cells, cells with 2200mAh (3S3P).

If 6600mAh battery has 6 cells, then you have cells with 3300mAh (3S2P).
But we know that there are no 3300mAh batteries with the standard (round) case. (look at the bumps of battery chassis)

Thanks for the info Nano but I too thought it was a 6 cell battery, some sort of high capacity 6 cell. If I hadn't already ordered mine from Supertrader I would probably have gotten the regular Acer 6 cell, instead of the 9 cell. Live and learn I suppose.

    More pictures please NaNo! :D

Specifically side view showing screen angle with original 3-cell and 9-cell battery pack, unless there's no difference!

    Thanks.

Thanks for the picture, NaNo. I questioned about how can we have a "3-cell 4800mAh" according to Acer's own manual. I guess the so called "3-cell 4400mAh" battery isn't really a 3-cell neither.

I bought one of these from Ebay a couple of week s ago, I can confirm that the battery makes no difference to the screen opening angle , it is ugly as sin and heavy but seeing the power meter go up to 8 hours makes it worth it, the only problem for me is that it doesnt fit in my handbag so I might sell it agin on Ebay, I have been used to an old 9 inch Sony vaio and the battery life on the extended battery was similar,
