Ok, I just tried Ubuntu eee ( http://www.ubuntu-eee.com ) on the Aspire One and I'm impressed.

Booting from USB, the system was up quick and wireless worked, sound worked and card slots would read if booted with card in it. Pretty much the normal Ubuntu experience with the exception of the wireless. Oh, webcam worked too.

The overall 'experience' was very good. Good enough to make me want to buy an eee pc to run it on, put it that way.

The question then becomes, where's Ubuntu One?
or, is anyone running Ubuntu-eee on an Aspire One? I may very seen install it and see how it goes but I'd be interested to hear of any pitfalls.

Oh yeah, the most important part, suspend took about 4 seconds compared to 10ish on my current ubuntu install, resume was faster too, and most importantly, the content of my SD card was not destroyed on resume :)
