U.K. CUSTOMERS NEW IMPORTANT NOTICE!! Hotpoint/Indesit faulty Tumble dryers

Firstly the initial product recall web page did not give a complete list of all the faulty tumble dryer numbers.

If you own one of these products you will need to check again if your model is affected.

A very important article has just been posted on The Telegraph's web page that further informs us of details including the strong possibility that home insurance companies will start voiding policies
if an unattended machine catches fire.

    Here's the link:

A second article that may help is posted here:

Wow, an 11 months wait for repair and up to "4.3 million potentially faulty machines".

    Is anyone here affected?

Me for one, THE TOTAL IS RUNNING AT ABOUT 5.3 MILLION machines . It affects Creda, Indesit ,AND Hotpoint machines.

TEN WEEKS after reporting your faulty machines to be even offered a future repair appointment.

Now can you guess what makes, I will be avoiding for all white goods?

This is awful and not fair at all :( That is such a long wait.... during that time you'd be better off buying a new one... different brand, of course.

If you push really hard you can get hotpoint to wave the reduced replacement
costs of £59 for dryers costing up to £200 or £95 for dryers over the £200 mark.

Use the Moneysavingexpert. com tips it works!!

    Worked for me
