Hi im looking to add a molex connection to my laptop but i cannot locate a 12v source i had no problems grabbing a 5v from the hdd rail and getting a ground. i tried using the pin where 12v would usually be on a sata power rail but its not active (makes sence since its not needed for 2.5 hds) if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction where i could safely and easily pull the 12v from the motherboard i would appreciate it. thanks

I don't think you're going to have much luck there. The battery is only 11.1v so at best you'd only get a stable 12v when using AC power. Also considering the AAOs were designed to run on low power, and there not being any devices that require 12v in the AAO, you're probably not going to find what you need.
