Trouble turning on or restarting D255E Windows 7 starter

I have a D225E that is hard to start or restart . Hit the start button and hear the fan for a few seconds then nothing . Blue on light is on but that's all . Hard stop with button and try again . Sometimes it only takes 10 or 20 try's and others a day or two over and over again . Tried everything even formatting . Even a restart turns off and will not start .

I am having the same issue, please let me know if you were able to resolve the issue or just punted the machine in the nearest river!

 

so far i've not had any problems with the D255e i've had it 3 weeks though...the only problem i've had - and its only happened twice, is the computer freezes during shut down. I've had to hold down the power button to switch off my netbook. That can't be a good thing to do but if anyone else has an idea on how else i can switch off my netbook without the need of doing that, would be helpful. and no the Ctrl + Alt + Del function does not work!
