Trash can / temp files

I am unable to locate those 2 locations.. any help is appreciated.

I installed some software, which I later uninstalled, but instead of 3.4gb I only have 2.4gb free disk space now.

Is there a program that shows disk usage etc?

Thanks for the info. Still not sure where around 800mb went. I will have to create a bootable usb and restore to factory settings.

** Never mind, found it.. back to 3.6gb free.. woohooo

df -h
