Trash can is not where it should be

Can user delete Trash can? I can't find it anywhere. Also "My disk" doesn't update the space available before I empty the trash can..

How can you empty Trash can from terminal? And can I get the trash can back somehow?

if you go to the file manager it should be there under the menu Go

if you hold down shift and press delete then it deletes the file instead of sending it to the trash can helpful hint for you there
