While getting info on the CF cards from Transcend, I looked around their site and found this part # TSxGSSD10-M. The x is replaced by 2,4,8,or 16 depending upon size of SSD. I can't link to this, as Transcend will eventually lock-out the hot-link. However, a visit to their website looking under the "Solid State Drives" will find the items.

Essentially they are ZIF ribbon, IDE compatible, UDMA-4 capable MLC chips. The small size looks a cinch to place into an ACER 110 model. There are 3 screws needed to secure board, and am not sure if compatible with ACER.

Has anyone in the hack/mod group found these, and is it worth it? The price of the 16Gb board is reprtedly US$46.

They are as slow as the original SSD, so the only reason would be the larger capacity. I believe a 1.8" drive is a better choice atm.
