touchpad wont work help!!!!!!

    ive got a acer aspire aoa11o zg5 net book which i bought for my daughter neary 2 years ago and due to not having a wireless connection untill recently it has sat in the box so basicly new, we got the netbook all set up online yesterday and everything has been fine untill i done an update today and now the touchpad will not move no matter what i do, ive pressed fn and f7 and still nothing even an external mouse wont work, really need help asap on this, ive searched the internet but it says the same thing .. to press fn and f7 or that the toughpad has been disabled if this is so how on earth do i enable it again?? any help will be recieved greatfully. thank you
