According to Financial Times, Toshiba, Sony and Fujitsu-Siemens are preparing to launch their own models to the netbook-market.

There's no reliable information available yet about the prices of the new competitors in the netbook-game, but the price range is expected to be in the same category as the main competitors Asus eeePC, Acer Aspire One and HP mini-note.

Sources in Taiwan have informed FT that the new Sony netbook will be made by the world's largest notebook contract manufacturer Quanta, and Toshiba will order their machines from the same manufacturer as HP, Inventec. At the moment it seems that Fujitsu-Siemens will be making their netbooks in their own factories instead of sub-contracting.

Acer appear to be hitting the press / media fairly hard.
There was a TV ad for the One on ITV last night.
Of course acer have also responded by offering a £199 price in the UK.

The netbook market is likely to be very "interesting" over that next few months :)
Anyone want to bet on a £179 price sometime soon?
