Hello all first post so hello again
I have an Aspire 9300 it is working fairly well but there is no bios I can find. I have pressed f2 but that does nothing. I say it works but I cant load anything on as the cd has problems too. I removed the hard drive and put on puppy linux on another pc and this boots up fairly well.
I need to be able to access the bios and even a usb keyboard and F2 when it says does nothing.(just in case the f2 key wasnt working)
Is the bios on an eeprom on the motherboard, I ask as I formatted all three partitions when I was given it and some pcs have it on a partition.
Anyone any ideas how to get into bios.
    Thanks

Looking on the internet this one acer model looks to be problematic.

The only thing I could suggest is to try all of the function keys one by one
starting with the ESC key, press the key first then turn on the power

The most problematic update version seems to be version 1.20 so that's the
    one I would avoid downloading.

The FN and the ESC key should allow access to a usb stick bios update.

Be careful. Look on the internet for more details.

Youtube has a disassembly video for the 9300
