I have an Acer Aspire 1, a cheap laptop I bought for very basic personal use. I would now like to use this laptop for a new job teaching English online via Zoom. In training/preparing for the job, it came to my attention that my laptop is in "S Mode," meaning I cannot download Google Chrome, the Zoom app, or Adobe PDF reader - 3 apps required by the company for me to do the job. My question is, will switching out of 'S Mode' to be able to download these apps have any significant, unforeseen consequences, such as slow performance or not even being able to run a full version of Windows 11? If leaving S Mode is ill-advised for the Acer Aspire 1, are there any workarounds that would allow me to use Chrome/Zoom/Adobe reader? Thanks!
