When I save a document as "frågor.doc" it shows up as frÃ¥gor.doc on my windows machine and if I save it as frågor.doc from my windows machine it shows up as the same under linpus.

Anyone want to give me a hint as to where to start looking for a solution?

It's saved correctly, but using the encoding utf-8. I got into the habit if only using ASCII characters in filenames long ago and I rarely use windows so I can't really point you towards a solution.... utf-8 and/or unicode are good keywords when searching for a solution tho.
