got a USB BT from here, http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11866, it takes about 3 weeks, or any USB BT should do. computer and phone has already been paired.

    Setup phone DUN:
    turn on phone/BT
    Discoverable: Yes
DUN On; click OK. you now see computer icon instead of BT icon
    AA1:
DUN on the phone is already on,
    BT settings
    Devices>Services check DUN
    Options check all
COM ports Add... and choose computer initiate port (maybe device initiate port, forget which is which)

Start>Settings>Network Connections should see your phone name
    Right click properties
Connect using: Modem - Std Modem over BT link (com3)
    Configure... set highest speed
    Phone number: #777
    user user
    passwd passwd

    To use:
Cellphone, turn on DUN, should see a computer icon instead of BT icon
Start>Settings>Network connections>bunanson (STD modem over BT link)

    enjoy,

    bun

i don't think the 650 has high speed internet. even though it isn't really high speed. so your internet might be really really slow. you also have to have internet plan. which i'm assuming you do. i have 700wx through sprint. looks like you have all the motions going. if you can't make it happen. you can also go to junefabrics.com. the program is called pdanet. it's what i was using before i got a bluetooth dongle for my pc. it needs the phone sync cable plugged into pc. it does have bluetooth but i have yet to figure out how to make that happen. anyways. and just to let you know. pdanet through a wire is much faster then the bluetooth method.

Wrong forum = moving? mind to help me to move to the right forum? thanks.

To answer some question by snowwy66. No. It is not very slow. It tethers to my Treo650 and running 900kbs, it is a touch slower than eye blinking. For modem tethering, 1 Mb/s is quite respectable, I think.

Edit: Oh, it is already in Internet <Networking & WiFi, thanks.

No. I am running window XP. Linus BT is not a newbie task, I am afraid :)
For window, all one has to do is to stick in a USB BT, you are almost there...

Treo700 is winCE/mobile whereas Treo650 is a palm. Early Treo700 does NOT have DUN and it is a little bit tricky to get it work. Treo650 is much more straight forward.
