Stealing power from the mobo?

    Doesn't it report the power usage for each port?

    No, nothing changes when I plug it in. Something weird is going on...
    Nevermind tho, I just found a hardware switch :)

    Now I just have to decide if I should drill ten little holes, or just mount the LEDs inside. Tough decision :/
    Inside would give a softer and cooler glow, but outside will be much brighter.

    5v* 0.5A does equal 2.5W, but it doesn't mean the usb port will give out 2.5W. The computer supplies a constant voltage, but not amperage. So how many amps you use, the computer will supply it to the device.
