    Hello :D

To speed up your Acer Aspire One's Internet we have to speed up the Net-Card:idea:
First click un Start then go to Control Panel and click on System, then go to Hardware and click on Device Manager and select Network Cards and double-click on Atheros then click Advanced and select Power Save Mode and set it to OFF

This will really speed up your Internet Speed.
    Tryed and working. :p

    (sorry for bad english)

It works. Thank you. Do the other "power save" options in the same area have and thing we may want to change them to?

Or you can get faster internet service and faster router. My cheap router limit my internet/lan/wan connection to 25mbit/s.

Or update the driver to 7.6.0.264 and keep the power savings setting on.

I can't say for sure it's related.....but after I down loaded the firmware link listed below and started to install it my netbook went dead. No power completely dead. Called Acer and was told to send it in for service since they couldn't help me. I just returned it to the place I purchased it from and got a new one instead.

Nope! All my drivers were up to date, so when I tried the OP's tip above - presto! I doubled my internet speed! Thanks
