Excuse me if this has been answered - Itried a search and could find nothing definitive. I'm traveling to Argentina with my new Aspire One (hasn't arrived yet though) and am told that their electrical system is 220 V. Will I need a converter or can I just plug the computer into the wall?

All you need is converter to match pins in the socket. Voltage will be fine.
