Thanks for the link to the updated website, Balut. It looks like they have a lot more items listed for the One.

Got a couple email replys from Kevin this morning and just ordered the 4800 mAh 3-cell battery for about $85 (includes the $15 S&H fee). FYI, the 3-cell that came with my A1 is the 2200 mAh version. Now I'll have over double my current battery life, an extra battery for backup (the original), and my A1 will still fit nicely in my DVD carrying case I got on clearance at RadioShack (I guess that's assuming the 4800 mAh 3-cell is the same size as the original battery). I'll post pictures when I get it.

I recommend dealing with this place. At work I deal with various vendors, pretty much all the major hw co's including Acer direct) for parts/replacement. This order was quick and as promised. If only all places were like this!

I had a few questions about my order and I received fast and professional replies.
I ordered mine and it came into Vancouver in one business day via Fedex. I wasn't charged any customs charges or handling fees. YMMV.

For those who care whether you get the Windows "flag" key or the "home" key, you may want to check the .pdf manual for the US
Same thing with the colour. I have the white version but I ordered the black keyboard which I like better (hides stains!).

One interesting thing when I took the original keyboard out, I noticed that Acer considers this as the French/Canadian bilingual keyoard. As some posters have mentioned, French keyboards have a significantly different layout (not quite QWERTY).

I'd like to know whether the extended-capacity, 3-cell battery has the same physical dimensions as the stock 3-cell one. It would be nice to have the extra capacity without the extra bulk. Keep us informed. Thanks.

I am also interested in the weight of the battery. It would seem that if it is that much more dense, it would weigh more.

Kevin said it would ship today. Should have it by this weekend (out of town until Friday). I'll post pictures and battery life when I get it.

That's the difference between the Windows and the Linux keyboard.

Got my 6 cell in today. It still fits in my T-Pak fine. I'm currently charging it, so we'll see how long that takes and how muhc battery life I have after.

That's great news! You have the A150 version, right?

The Timbuk laptop case dell had made for the dell mini inspiron. The aspire one is .7inches longer, so it just barely fits in.

That is a really nice looking bag. Is that a first? A name brand company making a netbook bag?

Probably, although when you're Dell I'm sure it's not too hard to guarantee enough orders to get it made.

Got the battery today and the sticker on it indicates it is only a 2400 mAh battery. The paperwork with it says 4800 mAh. I've talked with Kevin and he is checking with Acer to resolve the mis-shipment.

As a sidenote, I wanted to appologize to Kevin and the rest of the A1 user community for implying in any way that SourceIt was not a reliable vendor. I am fully confident that the mis-shipment was generated at the Acer Service Center and in no way was SourceIt at blame. I wholeheartedly endorse SourceIt for your A1 parts needs; I just recommend holding-off on the 3-cell purchase until the mis-shipment matter is resolved.
