Hi Everyone - this is my first post.
I have a Asus laptop - M160KA MB148W - bought new last november.
All has been well, however, a couple of weeks ago, I could no longer hear from the external speakers which are permantly plugged in. I then transferred the speakers to another laptop and all went as it should - so speakers OK. Note the internal speakers operate as normal - as soon as the external ones are plugged in SILENCE.
I need guidance on where (the many) sound settings need to be explored and possibly correctly set, to make sure it is set up correctly. Laptop is on Windows 11 (possible update disruption??)
This 'failure' just happened without any error messages or arising from any changes etc
Before I seek repair under warranty - I want to make sure it really is a laptop hardware failure.
You help/guidence appreciated
Colin
