Sound doesnt work

Ive installed ubuntu 8.04.1 in my aspire one, and sound doesnt work. Just dont work. Neither work with usb-live, dont work with installed ubuntu. I think maybe i havent find such a button like wireless or something. Anybody can help me please?

Have you followed the instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne), especially the ones about rebuilding alsa and configuring it?

Yes, i tried everything. I came back to linpus, and it doenst work. I think speaker is broken (because with linpus, headphones works).
