    Hi
I've just completed installing XP on to my Acer One and managed to get grub reinstalled so I can triple boot Linpus, XP & Ubuntu 8.10.

Everything was working well for about 10 minutes.
I decided to reboot to make a back of the netbook.

I rebooted, the screen went black and that's it.
Holding down the power button shuts the machine down, but when I trued it on again I get no splash screen and no F12 boot option.
The screen just stays black. I can hear the disk but nothing else happens. The only way to shut down from this is to remove the battery.

Once I've reinstall the battery, I boot up and get nothing just the black screen. This time the power button works but on reboot I have to remove the battery to poweroff.

It's hard to tell if it's the screen that gone or not as all I get is BLACK !!

    Any ideas ?? Thanks :(

    Thanks I'll try this.
    My current bios is 3301.

I presume it doesn't matter that I can't see or access anything to do this. ??

Mine has died for the 3rd time, now I can't get it to reflash, it has 3309 on it.

Can you boot yours up using the fnc+esc method and report what it says on the screen.

I think that the 3309 bios is for some reason not allowing the reflash like the other versions.
